IRMAA Bracket Checker

Estimate 2026 and income-related surcharges.

Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount

IRMAA is an extra amount added to Part B, and to Part D if you have drug coverage, when income from two years ago is above a set line. A higher 2024 income can raise what you pay in 2026. This checker uses the published 2026 brackets.

$

2026 IRMAA uses your 2024 tax return. Enter the MAGI amount Social Security would use.

Filing status

Head of household uses the same column as Single. Married filing separately here assumes you lived with your spouse at any time during the year. If you lived apart all year, Social Security uses the individual column instead.

Life events (marriage, work stoppage, income drop) can sometimes support an IRMAA reconsideration. An agent can help you gather the right paperwork—not promise an outcome.
